THE BODY

To start- Using your 5mm hook and White yarn

Ch 101

Row 1

sc into 2nd ch from hook and into all sts. End of row, ch 1 and turn (100 sts)

Rows 2 – ?

sc into 1st st and into all 100 sts, at end of row ch 1 and turn

I repeated round 2 until I ran out of yarn, I reach row 98. If you have the yarn, repeat row 2 until you have 100 rows done. Or as close as you can to it.

My end piece measured 55 cms / 22 inches in length and 72 cms / 28 inches wide.

Place fiber fill into center of piece, fold it up by picking up the corners.

Flip it over and grab the neck of the ghost (right under the fiber fill) and get a piece of white string to make a few knots. Try and smooth out a face on one of the sides to be able to sew your eyes and mouth onto. When ready, hide all your tails.

EYES (make two)

To start – Using your 3.5 mm hook and Black yarn

ch 2

Round 1

work 5 sc’s into 2nd ch from hook. Try to work over tail, sl st into beg ch and ch 1 (5 sts)

Round 2

sc 2 into all sts around. Sl st in beg st, ch 1 (10 sts)

Round 3

dc 2 into 1st stitch, dc 2 into the next 4 sts as well. Giving you 10 dc’s total. Once you have them, ch 1 and cut your yarn leaving a long tail to use for sewing your eye on.

Place both eyes on the face with the DC section of the eye at a bit of a tilt. And once you’re happy with the placement, sew on the first eye. Followed by the second.

MOUTH

Using your 3.5 mm hook and Black yarn

Leave enough of a tail before you create your slip knot to be able to hide it later.

Ch 20 and cut your yarn leaving a long tail to use for sewing your mouth on.

Again place your mouth where you’re happy, in any shape you want. Make a longer chain if you want to make a more detailed mouth. Have fun with it! I am making a cute Halloween for my kids so I went for the smile.
