For this project you will need:
- HOOK: 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU , 4 ply US, 10 ply AU
- Scrap yarn will do!
- Tapestry needle and some fiber fill

To Start
First you need to make 2 hearts from the Crochet Heart Motif Applique pattern & tutorial then grab your tapestry needle and cut a long tail from one of the colors you used, or go for an extra effect by choosing another color that looks good with both colors used.
Lay them on top of each other with both good sides (right sides) facing outward.
Then thread your needle and sew the two pieces together, going under both loops of each stitch to give it a string hold.
Stop sewing when you have about an inch left.
Now you need to stuff your heart with the fiber fill. Try not to over stuff. Then finishing sewing your hearts closed and hide your tails.
Next grab the color you wish to use for the ruffle decoration. Attach it by using a slip knot and ch 3, sk a st and sl st onto the next st. Repeat all the way around *ck 3, skip a st, sl st onto next.
Try to make sure when you reach the bottom tip of the heart that you skip over the very end point to make it look better.
When your done, ch 1 and cut your yarn, turn your heart to the back and insert your hook through the back and up towards the tails and just pull the tails into the heart as part of the stuffing.
Use your pretty heart as a decoration for valentines, part of a valentine garland or a pin cushion for yourself or a present for someone you love that will remember you love them every time they see it!
