Sole of the bootie
To do the sole of the booty I used the pattern from Whistle and Ivy so go to her page and make the sole for size 0 – 3 months and when she says to cut your yarn DON’T do it, just come back here and continue the booty pattern with me.
If you use her pattern please tell her that I sent you!
Round 1 of bootie
Glover st in all sts around. (21 glover sts)
Do a regular glover stitch as normal, then you want to do a 3 decreased glover stitchs. To do one, just do not ch 1 after
you pull through all 4 loops. This will count as a decrease. Then work a regular glover st in the next 5 sts.
Then work a decreased glover sts as you did before 8 times. Then work a regular glover st in the next 2 sts. place a marker
on the last stitch worked. (19 glover sts or 27 sts)
glover st 6 times, dec glover st 5 times, glover st 2 times. Move stitch marker up to last st worked. (14 glover sts and 21 sts)
7 glover sts, 2 dec glover sts, 2 glover sts. replace marker at last st worked. (11 glover sts, 19 sts)
sc in next 2 sts, sc dec. repeat for round, you should end with 15 sts.
sc in all 15 sts
sl st in next st, cut yarn, hide tail.
Center of flower –
ch 2, work 5 sc’s in 2nd ch, sl st in beg st and cut yarn.
Grab petal color
sc attach it to one of the sts. * ch 5, sl st into same st. sc into next st* repeat until you have 5 petals. sl st into beg st and ch 1, cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.
When you sew your flower onto your booty, sew only around the inner circle, not the middle but the sc row of the petal color, leaving your petals free to fall where they may.
