The multiples of the stitch

The Multiples of this stitch is 3 + 2

To start

ch 23 or in multiples of 3 until you reach your desired width, then add 2 more chains.

Try to chain loosely so this first row won’t be to tight. Use a hook one size bigger just to make the chain if you have trouble making the chain loose.

Or you could make Foundation single crochets in multiples of 3

Round 1

Special Stitch: *YO and in 3rd st from hook go through and pull up a loop, YO and pull through 2 loops leaving 2 loops on your hook, YO and go through next st and pull up a loop, pull through only 2 loops, leaving 3 loops on your hook, YO and go in through next st and pull up a loop, go in through 2 loops, now you have 4 loops on your hook, now YO and go through all 4 loops, ch 2.*

Now without skipping a stitch, repeat for rest of row. After your last granny tear of row, ch 2 and DC into the same stitch.

Round 2

ch 2 and now working in the large spaces, do the whole special stitch there. Once you pull through all 4 loops and ch 2, you move to the next big space and repeat the special stitch there. Continue this until you’ve completed your last big space of the row, DC in the top of the ch 2 to end the row. TURN your work.

Repeat row until desired size is reached.
