This Mesh Crochet Stitch Tutorial reminds me of little trees, so I’m calling this stitch the Lacy Crochet Trees Stitch. If this stitch has a proper name then please share it with me and I’ll update this page.
This crochet stitch would make an awesome crochet mesh for crochet tops for summer, or a bathing suit cover, or how about some curtains made from this stitch?!

For this project you will need:
- HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

Multiples of the Stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 11 + 9
To start
ch in multiples of 11 until you reach desired width, then ch 9 and you’re ready to start.
Row 1
dc 2 in 4th ch from hook, * sk 4 sts, dc 3 in next ch, ch 3, sk 2 sts, sc in next ch, ch 3, sk 2 sts, dc 3 in next ch * repeat for row


To end row: dc 3 in last ch
Row 2
ch 3 and dc twice in 1st st, * skip 4 dc’s and dc 3 in last dc, ch 3 and sc into sc, ch 3, dc 3 in next dc * repeat for row
To end row: dc 3 in last ch


Row 3
ch 6 and sc into sc, * ch 3, sk 2 dc’s and dc 3 into last, skip over the ch 3’s and sc and dc 3 into 1st dc * repeat for row
To end row: DC into top of ch 3


Row 4
ch 6 and sc into sc, * ch 3, dc 3 into dc, , skip 4 dc’s and dc 3 into last. Ch 3 and sc into sc * repeat for row
To end row: DC into top of ch 3


Row 5
ch 3 and dc twice into 1st st, * skip over chs and sc and dc 3 into next dc, ch 3 and sc into sc, ch 3, sk 2 dc’s and dc 3 into last * repeat for row
To end row: DC 3 in 4th ch of ending ch
