Multiples of the stitch

The multiples of this stitch is 8 + 5

Each shell section is 8 stitches, so to make a decent size scarf you can use 16 + 5 (ch 21)

This stitch would be great for a lacy spring blanket or shawl. This stitch is done in rows.

To Start

chain in multiples of 8, then when you have reached desired size add + 5 chains.

Row 1

dc in 7th ch from the hook (this counts as your 1st dc & ch 1) * ch 1, sk a st, dc in next st* repeat for row. At end of row you should end perfectly with a dc worked in last stitch.
