NOTE: This will show you how to work the pattern from the beginning of the round to the end, but this can leave a seam, so once you learn the pattern, if your advanced, I recommend making your color changes in a different place as to not leave a seam. I show you how to do this in the video tutorial

To Start:
Ch 3 and sl st into beginning stitch to form a ring

Round 1
ch 1 and work 14 DC’s into ring, sl st into beginning stitch

Round 2
ch 1 and dc into the back loop only of the same stitch and then DC into the back loop of the next 2 dc’s. Then go back and DC into the front loops that you skipped, starting from the first dc you did. This is called the Crossover double crochet, if you need a beginner video see this one. https://goo.gl/Rx2gDK

Then repeat for rest of round, *dc 1 into the back loop only of the next three stitches, then back up and dc into the front loops you skipped. * repeat until last two stitches. Dc in front loops on last two stitches, then back up and dc into the front loops of the last two stitches. Just like you did before, only you have two stitches instead of three. sl st into beginning stitch (28 sts)

Round 3
repeat round 2 doing the double crochet crossover stitch, until you get to the very last stitch, then you want to do a DC into the back loop, then dc into the front loop. Sl st into the beginning stitch (56 sts)

Round 4
ch 1 and turn your work, sc in each st across, sl st into beginning st. (56 sts)

Round 5
ch 1 and turn your work, dc into same stitch, and in next 2 stitches, dc inc, dc in next 3 sts, dc inc. sl st into the beginning st (70 sts)

Round 6

ch 1 and turn your work, sc in each st across, sl st into beginning st. ( 70 sts)

This picture below should give you an idea what it should look like:

Round 9
ch 1 and turn your work, * sc into the the first 7 sts, (make sure when your single crocheting this first 7 that your 4th st is at the top of the shell, if not you may need to skip a stitch or decrease a stitch) skip 3 sts, DC 7 sts, skip 3 sts, sc 1 in the next 7 sts * repeat for the rest of round, sl st into beginning st. To make the strap you sc attach to the post of round 27 form the inside of the bag,

and sc in the next 4 post. Ch 1 and turn, * sc in the 5 sts of the strap, ch 1 and turn * repeat for 69 rounds, then turn your bag inside out.

If you crochet right to left make sure your loop is to the right, if not then do one more row. Make sure your handle is centered onto the other side. You put your hook through the strap then around the post of the top of the stitches from round 25, connect your 5 sts and leaving a tail to be worked in with a tapestry needle, cut your yarn.

If you want to know how to make the flowers, they are from the Puff Flower Scarf, only difference is these flowers are made using a 3.5mm/ E hook instead of the 4.5mm hook which the scarf calls for.   https://goo.gl/mRzqEJ
