Crocheted Bikini Top – Free Crochet Pattern

To make this Crocheted Bikini Top project you will need:

Hook: 4 mm hook, US size G

Yarn: Three different colors of worsted weight yarn 4 ply US, 10 ply AU. Less than a skein per color

Ch = Chain
DC = double crochet
sk a st = skip a stitch
sl st = slip stitch
FDSC = Foundation Single Crochet
dec = Decrease
st(s) = stitch(es)

Round 1 (brown) MAKE TWO
ch 3, sl st into beginning st to form a ring, ch 2 (counts as first dc) dc 14 into ring for a total of (15 sts) sl st into the top of the beginning ch 2 sp

Round 2
ch 2 (counts as first dc) dc 1 into same sp, dc 2 into all sts around (30 sts) sl st into the top of the beginning ch 2 sp and ch 1 cut yarn. Switch to yellow



Bikini 7

Round 3 (Yellow)
Attach yellow to any space and ch 3, sk a st and sl st into third, ch 3 and repeat for all of round (15 petals)

Rounds 4 – 6
ch 1 and sl st into the ch 3 space to the left, ch 3 and sl st into next ch 3 space to the left, ch 3 and repeat for 3 rounds. At the end you should have 4 yellow rows. Ch 1 cut yarn. Picture below, last yellow row is covered by white.



Round 7 (white)Bikini 8
Attach white to any ch 3 space and ch 2 (counts as first dc) dc 2 more into same sp, dc 1 into the sl st in between (as shown in picture below), DC 3 into next ch 3 sp. For all sts around. Ch 1 cut yarn.



Bikini 9


Round 8 (brown)
Attach anywhere, ch 3, sk two sts, sl st into next st, ch 3 and repeat for all sts around. Sl st into beginning st, ch 1



Bikini 11

Round 9
sl st into ch 3 sp to the left and ch 3 again, sl st into next ch 3 space, ch 3, repeat for whole round. Ch 1 cut your yarn. Make another one and then lets connect them.

To make the connection in the middle, take your yellow yarn and FDSC 8, have take your two pieces good sides facing each other, slip the FDSC piece into the ch 3 spaces and sc twice to connect FDSC piece together. Ch 1 cut yarn



Bikini 5


For the bottom strap, take your brown yarn and FDSC 105 sts, ch 1 cut yarn. And weave it in through the three bottom ch 3 spaces of both sides


Bikini 6 -1



Start from the left and work your way to the left for one long connection. Like shown below.



Bikini 2 - 1


Top triangles

Round 1
Having the front side of the bikini facing you, lets start with the right one. Count over 7 ch 3 spaces from the center connect you made at the beginning, as my finger shows below. Sl st your brown yarn here and sc two in same sp, sc 2 into next 2 spaces.



Bikini 4


Round 2
Ch 1 and turn, and sc in all 6 sts, ch 1 and turn

Round 3
ch 1 and dec, sc in next 2 sts, then dec, ch 1 turn

Round 4
sc in all 4 sts, ch 1 turn

Round 5
Dec twice, ch 1 turn

Round 6
sc 1, sc 1, ch 1 turn

Bikini 10
Round 7
skip first st and sl st into last, turn and ch 2 and start your FDSC’s do 45, or more if you think you need it.


Round 8
Now to do the left one, attach your yarn in the 5th ch 3 sp from the center connection like shown below, and slip st your brown color here.



Bikini 3


Sc two into same sp, sc 2 in next 2 ch 3 spaces. Ch 1 and turn


Second Triangle

Round 1
Sc in all 6 sts ch 1 turn

Round 2
dec, sc 1, sc 1, dec ch 1 turn

Round 3
sc in all 4 sts, ch 1 turn

Round 4
Dec twice, ch1 turn

Round 5
sc 1, sc 1, ch1 turn

Round 6
skip first st, sl st in last, ch 1 and turn (with back of bra facing you)
Do your 45 FDSC’s, ch 1 cut yarn and enjoy!
