Cross Eyes Stitch– Free Crochet Pattern

 

This Free Crochet pattern teaches how to make this very simple stitch using the Cross stitch.

Cross Eyes Stitch– Free Crochet Pattern

For this project you’ll need:

HOOK: The size hook that your yarn suggests.

YARN: Any size yarn

 

ch = Chain

st = Stitch

sc = Single Crochet

dc = Double Crochet

 

Cross Stitch – Skip the first stitch and DC into next, now DC into the previous stitch that you previously skipped.

* = Repeat what is in between the stars for the rest of the row

This stitch is done in multiples of 6 + 5

 

 

To start

Ch in multiples of 6 until you reach desired width, then ch 5 and you’re ready to start.

 

Row 1

sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 chs, ch 1 * sc in next 2 chs, ch 1 * repeat for row. Sc in last 3 chs.

 

Row 2

ch 3 and turn. Skip first 2 sc’s, DC into next, DC into previous sc, ch 1 * DC into next 2 sc’s, ch 1, skip next sc and DC into the following one, now DC into the previous sc, ch 1 * repeat for row. DC into last st of row.

Row 3

ch 1 and turn. Sc into the first 3 sts, * ch 1 and sc into next 2 sts* Repeat for row. Sc in last 3 sts of row.

Row 4

ch 3 and turn. * DC in the next 2 sc’s, ch 1, skip next sc and DC into next, now DC into the previous sc, ch 1 * * repeat for row. DC into last st of row.

Row 5

ch 1 and turn. Sc into the first 3 sts, * ch 1 and sc into next 2 sts* Repeat for row. Sc in last 3 sts of row.

Repeat rows 2 – 5 until you reach desired size.
