Duo Diamond Crochet Baby Filet Blanket – Free crochet pattern

This easy crochet Filet blanket uses diamonds crocheted in two different ways to make this beautiful effect. This is very beginner friendly.

I love the use of diamonds in crochet, it’s done using many ways, through mesh, stitch texture, chains like when used to make the pineapple stitch. It’s the easiest shape to make next to the square.

The multiples of this stitch is included so feel free to make it in any size you need. To keep it simple I didn’t add a border, but it would be very easy to do because all side stitches are equal to DC’s.

I CHANGED TO GREY COLOR FOR FIRST ROW

Row 1 (With Grey)

Attach your color using a DC attachment or sl st and ch 3 into a top corner to create the first half of your corner. DC in all sts along top. DC 2, ch 1, DC 2 in corner.

DC twice into all the side stitches of your DC’s. Repeat along the bottom as well using the bottom side of the stitch. Repeat last side as like before.

To end: DC twice in last corner and sl st in beg st to end row. I cut my yarn here and used White for my next color.

Row 2 (With White)

Attach your color using a DC attachment or sl st and ch 3 into a top corner to create the first half of your corner. *Skip 3 sts and DC 2, ch 1, DC 2 to create your shell. * repeat until corner.

If you have 5 sts before reaching your corner then only skip 2 sts to do your last shell before corner. In corner DC 2, ch 1, DC 2 as well. Then skip 3 sts and repeat this pattern all the way around.

To end: DC twice in last corner and sl st in beg st to end row. I cut my yarn here and used White for my next color.

Row 3 (with Gold)
