Easy Crochet Baby Filet Blanket – Free crochet pattern

There are a lot of easy crochet baby Filet blankets out there, but I set out to make an easy crochet afghan that was both quick and simple that a beginner crocheter could give a try.

This crochet baby Filet blanket has only a 3 row repeat and is easy to master. The lacy part of this baby afghan makes the rows fly by while you sit down with a cup of coffee and your favorite show or movie.

I worked on my for 3 days and was already done. It’s edge looks amazing just as it is, but would be very simple to add a border to if you wanted to because the stitches around the bottom and sides are easy to see.

The Border

After asking my YouTube community if they would prefer a more fancier border on blankets, the answer was a clear for Fancy!

I really liked the look of this border as it was, but decided to fancy it up a bit, encase you wanted a touch more from the edging.

Attach your yarn in the corner and SC 3. In all the spaces all the way around do a sc, ch 2, sc into the same space. Repeat all around.
