This Flower Garland is crocheted using left over yarn. It’s so simple that you can make this garland to give away as gifts or make to sell at crochet fairs.
It’s a simple flower with simple connections so I’m sure you can do it no matter what crochet level you’re currently on.

For this project you will need:
- HOOK: 4 mm hook or size G-6 hook for the US or 5 mm / H hook for bigger flowers and chain
- YARN: at least 3 colors – worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU – You can use scrap yarn of all different colors to use for the flowers, or grab a skein of yarn of one color. But you will need minium one skein for the flower petals, one for the center of the flower and one for the leaves / connecting flowers
- Tapestry Needle to hide your tails

sl st = Slip Stitch
St = Stitch
Sp = Space
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
HDC = Half Double Crochet
Repeat what’s in between * for rest of round.

The Center of the Flower
Round 1
Grab the color you wish to use for the center of your flowers and ch 4. Sl st in the beginning ch to form a ring. Ch 1 and SC 10 into the ring.
Making the Flower Petals
Round 2
Grab the color you wish to use for your flower petals and ch 6.
*Sl st in the next SC and ch 6* repeat for the round. You should have 10 petals.
Making the Leaves and Connecting the flowers
Round 3
Grab the color you wish to use for your leaf color. Sl st your next color using any flower petal of your flower. Once connected
*Ch 17, now working on your ch, SC in 2nd ch from the hook.
HDC in the next 2 sts. DC in the next 2 sts. HDC in the next st to finish the leaf. Ch 10 and now we add another flower. Grab a flower and sl st to connect to a flower petal. It doesn’t matter which ch 6 petal you use.* then repeat.
It’s a simple repeat! Just remember ch 17, make leaf, ch 10, add flower – rinse and repeat
Feel free to change the colors of the flowers you use every time if you want. Play around with your scrap yarn!
I had some plastic veins that I use around my bathroom sink mirror because I don’t get much light in there to be able to grow real plants. I added a purple flowered garland to it and it really looks nice!
