For this project you will need:
HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU
ABBREVIATIONS

ch = Chain
st = Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
sk a st = Skip a stitch
V – Stitch = DC, ch 1, DC into same stitch.
* = Repeat what’s in between * for rest of round.

The multiples of the stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 3
To start
ch in multiples of 3 until you reach desired width.
Row 1
sc in 2nd ch from the hook, ch 1, sk a st and sc into next, * ch 3 and sk 2 sts, sc into next * repeat for row. When you reach last 2 sts of row you want to ch 1 and sc into last stitch. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 2
The ch 3 counts as your first stitch, sk the ch 1 and V stitch into sc. * skip the ch 3 and V st in the next sc * repeat for row. When you reach the last 2 sts of row, ch 1 and DC into last st. ch 1 and turn.
Row 3
sc into first st, * ch 1 and sc into the ch 1 space on your V stitch. * repeat for row. After you have single crocheted into your last v stitch of the row you want to ch 1 and DC into the last stitch of your row.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you reach your desired size.
