Granule Stitch – Free Crochet Pattern

 

This Free Crochet pattern teaches how to do the crochet stitch called the Granule Stitch. This very textured one sided stitch is perfect for an easy afghan or pillow. Or even a nice block to go into a bigger granny square afghan!

Granule Stitch – Free Crochet Pattern

For this project you’ll need:

HOOK: recommended by yarn

YARN: Any ply yarn

 

ch = Chain

sl st = Slip Stitch

st = Stitch

sc = Single Crochet

YO = Yarn over

 

Psc – Picot Single Crochet – insert your hook into stitch and pull up a loop, ( YO and draw through only one of the loops. ) Repeat this 2 more times until you have a ch of 3, then YO for the last time and pull through BOTH loops.

* = Repeat what is in between the stars for the rest of the row

This stitch is done in multiples of 4

 

To start

ch in multiples of 4 until you reach desired size, then ch 1 and you’re ready to start.

 

Row 1

sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in all remaining chs.

 

Row 2

ch 1, sc in 1st sc, then in the * next stitch do a Psc, sc into next st * repeat for row. Sc in last st.

Row 3

ch 1 and sc in all sts

Row 4

ch 1 and put 1 sc in next 2 sts, * Psc in next st, sc into next *

repeat for row. Sc into last 2 sts.

Row 5

ch 1 and sc in all sts

 

Repeat rows 2 – 5 until you’ve reached desired size
