For this project you’ll need:

HOOK: Size yarn recommends

YARN: Any size

 

ABBREVIATIONS

ch = Chain

sl st = Slip Stitch

st = Stitch

sk = Skip

sc = Single Crochet

dc = Double Crochet

 

* = Repeat what is in between the stars for the rest of the row

Once you chained your multiples to you desired width continue to row 1.

 

Row 1

sc in 2nd ch from the hook. * skip 3 sts and DC 9 into next st. skip 3 sts and sc in next * repeat what’s in between the *’s until last shell of 9 DC’s at the end of your row.

To end row skip 3 chs and sc in last ch of row. ch 3 and turn.

 

Row 2

DC into 1st SC of row then ch 1, now we’ll be working the the center 3 DC’s of our Shell of 9 dc’s. So skip 3 DC’s and Dc in the 4th dc. Put 1 dc in the next 2 Dc’s for a total of 3 dc’s in a row.

Then ch 1 and * skipping the 3 DC’s and moving right into the sc that’s in between shells. DC, ch 1, DC into the single crochet. Then ch 1 and we’ll be working in our Shell of 9 dc’s again. Crochet in them like you did before,

Dc in the 4th dc. Put 1 dc in the next 2 Dc’s for a total of 3 dc’s in a row. * repeat for row. After you’ve completed yout last set of sc’s in the top of your shell, you want to ch 1 and DC 2 into ending sc. ch 3 and turn

 

Row 3

DC 4 into beginning DC, * skip a sc and sc into the middle sc, DC 9 into the V stitch * (your V stitch is the DC, ch 1, DC you made last row) repeat for row. DC 5 in ending ch 3. Ch 1 and turn.

 

Row 4

sc in 1st and 2nd dc. * ch 1 and V stitch ( DC, ch 1, DC) in the sc that’s between your shells, ch 1 and skip 3 DC’s and Dc in the 4th dc. Put 1 dc in the next 2 Dc’s for a total of 3 dc’s in a row. * repeat for row. and your row

by putting 1 sc in last DC and the ending Ch 3 for a total of 2 sc’s in a row. Ch 1 and turn.

 

Row 5

sc into 1 sc of row. * skip over to your first V stitch. crochet 9 Dc’s into the V stitch. skip a sc and sc into the middle sc * repeat for row. sc into last sc.

 

Repeat rows 2 – 5
