For this project you’ll need:

HOOK: Size yarn recommends

YARN: Any size

 

ABBREVIATIONS

ch = Chain

sl st = Slip Stitch

st(s) = Stitch(es)

sk 1 st = Skip one stitch

YO = Yarn Over

sc = Single Crochet

dc = Double Crochet

FLO – Front Loop Only

 

{ } = Repeat what is in between as many times as pattern calls for.

* = Repeat what is in between the stars for the rest of the row

To Start

Chain in multiples of 12 until you reached your desired width the chain 4 more

 

Row 1

SC in 2nd ch from hook and in all chains down your row. Ch 1 and turn.

 

Rows 1

SC in 1st st and Ch 1, *Sk a st and SC, Ch 1 * repeat for row. You should end with a SC in last st. Ch 1 and turn.

 

Row 2 & 3

SC, ch 1 and sk a st. * SC in next st and ch 5, skip the next 2 Single Crochets and sl st into the next ch 1 space. Ch 5 skip the next 2 Single Crochets then sl st in next SC. Ch 1 sk a st * Repeat for row. Your last 3 sts of the row should be SC, ch 1, sk a st, SC. Ch 1 and turn.

 

Row 4

SC, ch 1 and sk a st. Ch 1, *{ sk Ch 1 space and DC into SC, Ch 1 } Repeat this 3 more times. Then SC, ch 1 and sk a st, SC Ch 1. * Repeat for row. Your last 3 sts of the row should be SC, ch 1, sk a st, SC. Ch 1 and turn.

 

Repeat Rows 3 & 4
