For this project you will need:
- HOOK: 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US and also a 6 mm \ J hook just to make the starting chain
- YARN: 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

sl st = Slip Stitch
st = Stitch
sc = Single Crochet
dc = Double Crochet
TRC = Triple Crochet
* = Repeat what is in between the stars for the rest of the row

Sizing and Multiples of the stitch
- Size – my shawl measured about 131 cms or 51 ½ inches
- Multiples – This stitch is done in multiples of 6 + 5
To start using your 6mm \ J hook
Chain in Multiples of 6 and when your ready to start, ch 5
OR for the size I made, chain 192 + 5 = 197 with this amount of chains my shawl measured about 131 cms or 51 ½ inches
Row 1 switch to your 5mm \ H hook
DC in 8th ch from the hook, ch 3 and dc 5 onto DC that you just made.* sk 2 sts and sc in next. ch 3 and sk 2 sts, dc into next st,
ch 3 and dc 5 onto post of dc * repeat for row. sc into last st.
Row 2
ch 6 and *sc into top of 1st ch 3 (the one on top of your shell tip) ch 3 and dc into the top of the ch 3 below your shell. ch 3 and dc 5 onto post of dc* repeat for row.
ch 3 after the last dc shell then Triple crochet in top of the ch 4
Row 3
ch 4 and *dc into the top ch of ch 3, dc 5 onto post of dc, ch 3, sc into top of 1st ch 3 (the one on top of your dc’s) * repeat for row. to end row, triple crochet into
2nd ch of the ch 6.
Repeat rows 2 & 3
