For this Puff Flower Heart Motif Project you will need:
- HOOK: a 4.5mm hook G hook
- YARN: 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU 100 grams / 3.5. oz – 210 meters / 230 yards – I used variegated yarn for this project but feel free to use any color(s) you like.
- Tapestry Needle to hide your tails

MAKING THE 6 PETAL PUFF FLOWER
To Start:
ch 4, sl st into beginning ch to form a loop
Round 1
ch 1 and sc 12 in loop, sl st into beginning st
Round 2
ch 3 start your puff stitch in same stitch , YO and draw up 3 times for first part of stitch (7 loops on hook)
then YO and draw up 3 times in next stitch (13 loops on hook)
pull through all 13 loops.
Ch 4, sl st into same st,
To make the connection , you will use the larger of the two connections, the left one, on the top back connections of the petal.
Sl st through this loop and the one on your hook
Then ch 4 and sl st into same stitch, ch 1 and fasten off.
I recommend doing your attachments first to all the flowers around you first then just complete the rest of the petals.
Start off by connecting the first two flowers by two petals
Then as you make more flowers connect them diagonally, using the petal, then use the same place you connected the previous flower, example below.
Continue to connect your flowers in some what of a circle until you get closer to the middle dimensions your after.
As you can see you can make 8 solid rows of flowers, 8 in a row, then the next row down is only 7 flowers, etc.
