For this project you will need:
- HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- Also a 6 mm / J hook is optional if you wish to use it to make your beginning chain.
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

Multiples of the stitch
The multiples of this stitch is 12 + 2
To Start
chain in multiples of 12, then when you have reached desired size add + 2 chains.
Row 1
sc in 2nd ch from hook * ch 5, sk 5 sts, dc 3 in next st, ch 5, sk 5 sts, sc in next st * repeat for row.
Row 2
ch 6 & turn, skip the sc and 5 chs and dc 3 into 1st dc, dc 1 in next dc, dc 3 into next dc, ch 3, skip 5 chains and dc in sc * ch 3, sk 5 chs, dc 3 in 1st dc, dc 1 in center dc, dc 3 in next dc, ch 3, skip 5 chs and dc in sc * repeat for row.
Row 3
ch 5 & turn, skip 3 chs * dc 3 in 1st dc, dc 1 in the next 5 sts, dc 3 in last dc, ch 1 and skip the ch 3, dc, ch 3, * repeat for row. To end row TRC in 3rd ch of ch 6.
Row 4
ch 3 & turn, dc in TRC, ch 5 and skip 5 sts, dc in next st, ch 5, sk 5 sts * dc 3 in ch 1, ch 5, sk 5 sts, sc in next st, ch 5 * repeat for row. To end row after your last ch 5, do two dc;s in top of ch 5.
Row 5
ch 3 & turn, dc 3 in next dc * ch 3, sk 5 sts and dc in the sc, ch 3 and skip 5 chs, dc 3 in 1st dc, dc 1 in next dc, dc 3 in next dc * repeat for row. To end row DC 3 in last dc, dc 1 in top of ch 3.
Row 6
ch 3 & turn, dc 1 in next 2 dc’s, dc 3 in next dc * ch 1, skip the ch 3, dc, ch 3, and dc into the next dc, dc 1 in the next 5 sts, dc 3 in last dc *repeat for row. To end the row dc in top pf ch 3 which should give you 5 dc;s in total at the end of the row.
Repeat rows 1 – 6 to repeat stitch pattern.
