This Wave Stitch Slouch Hat Free Crochet pattern teaches how to make a textured slouch hat using the Wave Stitch. This pattern is done in the round which gives a different look to the waves. They are less textured but more of an outline that adds a very unique look to the hat.

Sl st in the next 4 sts. * HDC in the next 5 sts, sl sl in the next 5 sts * repeat for round until you reach your stitch marker.
From Round 6 and on, we will be alternating every round working in the front loop only OR the back loop only.

Cut your yarn leaving a long tail to use for sewing up the end of your hat. TURN YOUR HAT INSIDE OUT. Thread your tapestry needle. Weave through the stitches like a draw string, go through all sts and turn your hat inside out. Pull string to tighten hole and sew in knots, even tie a few knots if you like. Hide tail.
