For this project you will need:

HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US

YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

Each Skein was – 100 grams / 3.5. oz or 240 meters / 262 yards

 

ABBREVIATIONS

ch = Chain

sl st = Slip Stitch

st = Stitch

sk = Skip

dec = decrease

beg = beginning

YO = Yarn Over

SC = Single Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

dc dec = Double crochet decrease

Repeat what’s in between *’s for the row

Repeat what’s in between | | set amount of times

To Start

This stitch is done in multiples of 20 + 4

 

Row 1

DC in the 5th ch from the hook. Do a DC dec using 2 sts. * DC in the next 5 sts. Put 2 DC’s in the next stitch. DC 3 in the next st. Put 2 DC’s in the next stitch. DC in the next 5 sts. DC dec using 2 sts. DC dec using 3 sts. DC dec using 2 sts. * Repeat for row

To end your row: When you reach the last 5 chs of your row. Continue to do your DC dec using 2 sts. DC dec using 3 sts . Ch 1 and Turn

 
 

Row 2

SC in each stitch. CH 3 and Turn.

 

Row 3

The CH 3 counts as your first stitch. Sk a st and DC in next st. | ch 1, sk 1, DC in next st. | Repeat 2 more times.

* -Now we’re doing our upper peak. Then ch 1 and skip a st, then in the next st

| DC, ch 1 | 3 times in the same stitch. |

 
 

Skip the next st, DC, ch 1 | Repeat 2 more times.

 

-Now we do our down peak. We’ll be doing the decreases different than usual. We’ll be skipping a stitch in between as we Decrease.

So skip 1 stitch and YO & insert your hook in the next and pull up a loop, YO and pull through only 2 of the loops leaving the last loop on your hook. Skip 1 st and repeat. 3 loops on your hook, Skip 1 st and repeat. 4 loops on the hook.

 
 

Pull through all 4 loops and ch 1. | Sk a stitch, DC, ch 1| Repeat 2 more times. * Repeat for row

To end row: Last 4 sts of row after you ch 1: Sk next st, do an incompete DC by just pulling through 2 loops of your DC, leaving the last loop on your hook, sk the next st and in the last st of your row do another incomplete DC leaving 3 loops on your hook. YO and pull through all 3 loops.

 

Row 4

SC in each stitch. CH 3 and Turn.

 

Row 5

The CH 3 counts as your first stitch. DC in next st. DC dec using the next 2 sts. * DC in the next 5 sts. Put 2 DC’s in the next stitch. DC 3 in the next st. Put 2 DC’s in the next stitch. DC in the next 5 sts. DC dec using 2 sts. DC dec using 3 sts. DC dec using 2 sts. * Repeat for row.

To end your row: When you reach the last 4 chs of your row. Do 2 DC decreases. Ch 1 and Turn

 

Repeat rows 2 – 5
