For this project you will need:
HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU
ABBREVIATIONS
(click on link to find tutorials)
ch = Chain
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
YO = Yarn Over
sk a st = Skip a stitch
* = Repeat what’s in between * for rest of round.
Puff stitch = *YO insert into stitch, pull up a loop * repeat 2 more times. Pull through all 7 loops and ch to secure.

Multiples of the Stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 8 + 2
To start
ch in multiples of 8 until you reach desired width, then ch 2 and you’re ready to start.
Row 1
sc in 2nd ch from hook, * sk 3 sts, PS into next st. ch 2, PS into same st, ch 2, PS into same stitch. Ch 1 and sk 3 sts, sc into next * repeat for row. skip 1 sc and Sc into last st. ch 3 and turn.
Row 2
DC into first st, * ch 2 and sc into first ch 2 space, ch 2 and dc 3 into next sc between puff shells. * repeat for row. Dc 2 into last st. ch 3 and turn
Row 3
dc into first st, ch 2 and PS into same st, ch 1. sc into sc.
* PS in center DC of the 3 dc’s from last row. Ch 2, PS in same st, ch 2, PS into same st, ch 1 and sc into sc * repeat for row, to end row, crocheting in top of ch 3, PS, ch 2, dc in the same st. ch 1 and turn.
Row 4
sc into 1st st, * ch 2, dc 3 into sc, ch 2, sc into 1st set of ch 2 * repeat for row. Sc into last st. ch 1 and turn
Row 5
* PS in center DC of the 3 dc’s from last row. Ch 2, PS in same st, ch 2, PS into same st, ch 1 and sc into sc * repeat for row ch 1 and sc into last st. ch 3 and turn
Repeat rows 2 – 5 until you reach desired size
