For this project you will need:
- HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

ch = Chain
sl st = Slip Stitch
st = Stitch
sk = Skip
dec = decrease
beg = beginning
YO = Yarn Over
FPDC = Front Post Double Crochet
sk a st = skip a stitch
* = Repeat what is in between the stars for the rest of the row
I did this stitch using 3 colors. Change colors every row.
The Gauge
The gauge for this stitch is 6 stitches = 1 inch or about 5 cms

Multiples of the stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 2 + 1
To Start
1st color
ch 21, or in multiples of 2 until you reach your desired width then chain 1 more and you’re ready to begin row 1
Row 1
dc in 3rd ch from hook, *ch 1, sk a st, dc in next st* repeat for row. Ch 1 and turn
Row 2
Change to 2nd color
SC in first DC, *DC into skipped st one row down, SC into next DC* repeat for row, Ch 1 and turn
Row 3
Change to 3rd color
SC in 1st SC then SC on the FPDC (2nd st), *FPDC on the post of the DC that’s two rows down,, SC in next dc * repeat for row, SC into last 2 sts of row, Ch 1 and turn
Row 4
Change to 1st color
SC in 1st, *FPDC on the post of the DC that’s two rows down, SC in next DC * repeat for row, Ch 1 and turn
Row 5
Change to 2nd color
SC in 1st and 2nd st, *FPDC on the post of the DC that’s two rows down, SC in next dc * repeat for row SC into last 2 sts of row, Ch 1 and turn
Row 6
Change to 3rd color
SC in 1st st, *FPDC on the post of the DC one row down, SC in next DC * repeat for row, Ch 1 and turn
Row 7
Change to 1st color
SC in 1st and 2nd st, *FPDC on the post of the DC that’s two rows down, SC in next DC * repeat for row SC into last 2 sts of row. Ch 1 and turn
Repeat rows 2 – 7 until your project reaches desired size
