For this project you will need:
- HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU
ABBREVIATIONS

ch = Chain
sl st = Slip Stitch
st = Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
Shell Stitch – DC 5 into same stitch
* = Repeat what is in between the stars for the rest of the row

The Multiples of this stitch
multiples of 5 + 1
To start
ch in multiples of 5 until you reach desired size, then ch 3 more and you’re ready to start.
Row 1
sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in all remaining sts.
Row 2
ch 3 (Counts as 1st dc) * skip 3 sts, DC 5 in next st * repeat for row. After last shell you should have 3 chs left. Skip 2 chs and DC into last st.


Row 3
ch 1 and sc into dc, * ch 5 and sc into the space between shells *
Repeat for row. Sc in top of ch 3 to end row.



Row 4
Ch 3, * crochet a Shell in the center ch of ch 5 * Repeat for row. DC in last SC.

Row 5
ch 1 and sc into dc, * ch 5 and sc into the space between shells *
Repeat for row. Sc in top of ch 3 to end row.
Repeat rows 2 – 5 until you reach desired size.
