I named this Mesh Crochet Stitch the Triangle crochet stitch for the reason that you think. The chart I found didn’t have a name, just a number so I had to make something up. I love how this stitch looks, it’s not only a lacy crochet mesh stitch, but it I personally think it’s a filet stitch too because of the triangles between the stitches too.

For this project you will need:
- HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

The Multiples
This stitch is done in multiples of 6 + 3
To start
Repeat the multiples of the stitch until you reach your desired size then add your + 3 and you’re ready to begin row 1
Row 1
HDC in the 4th ch from the hook, * ch 3, sk 3 and HDC in 4th. Ch 1 and sk 1 and HDC in next st * Repeat for the row.
To end row: after your last ch 3, skip 3 you should have 2 sts left. HDC in those last 2 sts of the row.
Ch 1 and turn
Row 2
SC in the 1st DC of the row, * ch 2, DC 3 into the big ch 3 space, ch 2, then SC once into the ch 1 space. * Repeat for the row.
To end row: ch 2 and sc in the ending chain space
Ch 5 and turn
Row 3
We’ll be crocheting using the sets of 3 dc’s from last row.
* HDC into the first DC, ch 1, sk 1, HDC into last DC. Ch 3, * skip to next set of 3 DC’s and repeat
To end row: after your last set of DC’s are done, TRC into the last SC of the row.
Ch 3 and turn
Row 4
DC into the First space of the row. * Ch 2, SC into the ch 1 sp. * Ch 2, DC 3 into the ch 3 space.* repeat for row.
To end row: after your last sc, and ch 2, DC twice in the ending chain space
Ch 2 and turn
Row 5
(it’s like round 3)
The ch 2 counts as 1st stitch. * HDC in 2nd DC of row. Ch 3, HDC in the 1st DC, ch 1, sk 1 and HDC in last DC. * repeat for row
To end row: after your last HDC , ch 3, the working in the last 2 sts of the row. HDC in 1st HDC then HDC in the ending ch.
Ch 1 and turn
Repeat rows 2 – 5
