For this project you will need:
- HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

sl st = Slip Stitch
st = Stitch
sk = Skip
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
* = Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row

Multiples of the stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 4
Row 1
DC in the 5th Ch from the hook. DC in all sts. CH 1 and turn
Row 2 (first row of repeat)
SC in the 1st DC of the row. Ch 3 and sk 3 sts and SC in the next. CH 3 and turn
Row 3
DC 3 into the same beginning st. * Then SC into your SC. Ch 3 and DC 3 into the same SC stitch. * Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row. Your Row should end perfectly with a SC into the last SC of the row. Ch 6 and turn
Row 4
* Using the Tip of our shells / fans now. SC into the top of the ch 3. CH 3 * Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row. After you SC into the last Fan Tip you are done with this row. Ch 3 and turn
Row 5
DC 3 into the same beginning st. * Then SC into your SC. Ch 3 and DC 3 into the same SC stitch. * Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row. Your Row should end perfectly with a SC into the last SC of the row. Ch 6 and turn
Row 6
* Using the Tip of our shells / fans now. SC into the top of the ch 3. CH 3 * Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row. After you SC into the last Fan Tip you are done with this row. Ch 3 and turn
Row 7 (last row of repeat)
* DC 1 in the next 3 chs. (not the space) DC into your SC *
Repeat rows 2 – 7
