Chart pattern

This stitch is done in multiples of 25 + 4

To start

ch in multiples of 25 until you reach your desired size.

Each multiple of 25 you are adding another peak and a dip to your pattern. Because of this you will loose about a half an inch in length, so keep this in mind when making the width of the beginning chain.

Once you think you have it the correct width you want, then ch 4 more and you’re ready to begin row 1.

Row 1

DC 3 into the 7th chain from the hook. | Sk 2 chs and DC 3 into next ch. | repeat 2 more times until you have four DC 3 sections.

After you have your 4 sections of 3 DC’s you’ll always do one of two things. An increase or a decrease. We’ll be doing an INCREASE first.

Ch 2 and DC 3 into the very next ch. | Sk 2 chs and DC 3 into next ch. | repeat 2 more times until you have four DC 3 sections.

After you have your 4 sections of 3 DC’s you’ll always do one of two things. An increase or a decrease. We’ll be doing an DECREASE now

Skip 5 chs and DC 3 into the 6th chain | Sk 2 chs and DC 3 into next ch. | repeat 2 more times until you have four DC 3 sections. * Repeat what is in between *’s

To end your row:  you should have 3 chains left over. Skip 2 chs and DC In very last ch to end row. Ch 3 and turn

Row 2 (change color if you want)

We’ll be working in the big spaces between the sets of 3 dc’s.

* Crochet a set of DC 3 into the next 3 big spaces,

then DC 3 into the ch 2 at your peak,

ch 2 and crochet another DC 3 into the same ch 2. This creates your new upper peak

Crochet a set of DC 3 into the next 3 spaces, then skip the next space, and dc 3 into the next space * Repeat for row.

To end row: DC in top of beginning ch. Ch 3 and turn

Only the very first time you end a row from Row 1 you’ll have 6 chs at the end, just DC in the first ch to end your row.

Repeat Row 2 until you reach desired size.
