This Crochet Cat toy has been a big hit with our two cats! We think it really is the Best Crochet Cat Toy! So much so that I’m making a second one and thought I would share with you how I made it. It’s better than any cat fishing pole.
This is a must for any crocheter who has cats, this will save you money on buying toys all the time and once you’re friends and family see it in action, they’ll want you to make one for their cats too!

For this project you will need:
- HOOK: 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

sl st = Slip Stitch
sts = Stitches
SC = Single Crochet
Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row.

I had one person bring up that the dye in the yarn could be dangerous, but I’ve used yarn as a washcloth before and nothing comes out from it. I tried to look it up, but couldn’t find anything about it which might mean it’s a non issue.
If your cats play with this toy as much as mine, then be sure to keep your hot glue gun handy for future repairs!
