Crochet Daisy Barrette – Free Crochet Pattern and Video Tutorial

I just love Daisies so this Crochet Daisy Barrette was one of my favorite!. I thought why not crochet some Daisy Flowers to create a crochet barrette. It was perfect timing too because my daughter was having a end of the year party at her daycare. In the tutorial I’ll show you how to make a Crocheted Daisy flower large and flat enough to be used on a beanie or used as a barrette. This is a two layered flower.

Then put two quadruple crochets leaving the last part of the quadruple crochet unworked in the next stitch.

Ch 6 and sl st into same stitch. * Sl st into following st and repeat petal.

When you have your 6 petals completed sl st into beginning st, cut your yarn leaving a tail long enough to sew your flower pieces together and to sew it onto your project.

When sewing your two pieces together, lay the flower on top of the other, but off center it so the petals don’t align with the ones from below.

And when sewing it on to a project I recommend sewing the back petals down leaving the top ones alone.

Also another thing you could do with you flower is sew yourself a place to slip a barrette through.
