Multiples of the stitch

This stitch is done in multiples of 3 + 2

Row 1

DC in the 6th ch from the hook. Ch 1, and DC in the same st. This creates your 1st V stitch. * Sk 2 sts and V stitch in the next st.*

Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row.

At the end of the row you should have 2 chs left. Sk 1 ch and DC in the last st. Ch 4 and turn

Row 2

Using our ch 1’s of our V stitches. We’ll be doing 4 incomplete DC’s or also known as a DC decrease.

* YO and insert your hook in the ch 1 space of your V st, pull up a loop and YO and pull through only 2 loops on the hook. Repeat this 3 more times. Once you do you should have 5 loops on your hook.

YO and pull through all 5 loops. Then Ch 2* Repeat this step for all the V stitches on the row.

To end your row DC into the top of your ending ch. Ch 1 and turn.

Row 3

SC into the first DC of the row. Then SC into the ch 2 space.

* Ch 3 and skip the cluster and crochet 2 sc’s into the ch 2 space. *

Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row. You should end perfectly with 2 SC’s in the ending ch space. Ch 3 and turn.

Row 4

We’ll be using our cluster stitches from row 2, so fold the ch 3 spaces over to reach the cluster stitch.

* DC into the top of the cluster st and ch 2 * do this for all your clusters sts this row.

To end your row, you want to only ch 1 and DC into the ending SC.

Ch 3 and turn

Row 5

Put a * V stitch into your DC * Repeat for row. At the end of the row, DC in the center ch of your ending ch 3. Ch 4 and turn.

Repeat rows 2 – 5
