How cool does this Berry Crochet Stitch look? It doesn’t even have to be red, feel free to make it blueberries or any color you wish!
I’ve seen this stitch used in many things to kettle covers, afghans and hats! This stitch used two colors to achieve the berry effect. Feel free to use any 2 color combination you wish. Go wild! Hope you have fun with this one.

For this project you’ll need:
- HOOK: Size yarn recommends but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

The Multiples of the stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 4
To start with Red
ch in multiples of 4 until you reach desired width
Red
Row 1 – sc in 2nd ch from hook and in all sts, ch 1 and turn
Row 2 – sc in next 3 sts, * dc 5 in next st, sc 1 in next 3 sts* ch 1 and turn.
Green
Row 3 – sc in 1st 2 sts * sc dec using all 5 dc’s, sc in next 3 sc’s *
Red
Row 4 – sc in 1st sc, * dc 5 in next st, sc 1 in next 3 sts* ch 1 and turn.
repeat rows 2 – 4
