For this project you will need:
- HOOK: 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: 1 skein of worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU
Scrap yarn will work fine!

To Start
ch 2 and sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, ch 1 and turn
Row 1
SC 3 into the single SC. Ch 1 and turn
Row 2
SC 2 into 1st sc to inc, SC into middle SC. SC 2 into last SC to inc. Ch 1 and turn.
Row 3
Sc one in all 5 sts, ch 1 and turn.
Row 4
Sc 2 in 1st st , sc in next 3 sts, sc 3 in last st, ch 1 and turn (7 sts)
Row 5
Sc in all 7 sts, ch 1 and turn.
Row 6
Sc 2 in 1st st , sc in next 5 sts, sc 3 in last st, ch 1 and turn (9 sts)
Row 7
Sc in all 9 sts, ch 1 and turn.
Row 8
Sc 2 in 1st st , sc in next 7 sts, sc 3 in last st, ch 1 and turn (11 sts)

First side of heart hump
Row 1
Sc in the 1st 6 sts, ch 1 and turn. (6)
Row 2
Sc in one in next 2 sts, then sc dec, sc in last 2 sts, ch 1 and turn (5)
Row 3
Sc in next 2 sts, sc dec, sc in last st, ch 1 and turn (4)
Row 4
sc dec, sc in next 2 sts, ch 1 and turn (3)
Row 5
Sc dec, sc 1, ch 1 (2)
Reaching next hump area
Now sc in next 5 sts down the side stitch of the hump you just made,
Sc 7 sts down the row. Ch 1 and turn.
Second side of heart hump
Row 1
Sc in next 2 sts, sc dec, sc in last 2 sts, ch 1 and turn (5)
Row 2
sc in next 2 sts, sc dec, sc 1, ch 1 and turn (4)
Row 3
sc in next 2 sts, sc dec, ch 1 and turn (3)
Row 4
sc in next st, sc dec in last st, ch 1 (2)
Now sc in next 5 sts down the side and then keep single crocheting down all the side stitches until you reach the bottom tip.
Put 3 sc’s into ch space at the tip. Then sc down other side of heart until you reach the beginning st where you will sl st and ch 1, cut your yarn. Hide tails.
If you plan to use this on a hanging garland I recommend blocking this heart.
