For this project you will need:
- HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

st = Stitch
sc = Single Crochet
dc = Double Crochet
* = Repeat what is in between the stars for the rest of the row

Multiples of the stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 8 + 4
To start
ch in multiples of 8 until you reach desired width, then ch 4 more and you’re ready to begin.
Row 1
DC in the 5th ch from the hook, dc in next ch. * ch 3, sk a st, sc in next. Ch 3, sk a st and dc in next 5 chs. * repeat for row.
To end row: Dc in last 3 chs
Row 2
ch 1 and sc in 1st dc and next 2 dc’s. * Ch 1, dc in sc, ch 1, sc in next 5 sts * repeat for row.
To end row: (last 3 sts) sc in the two dc’s and sc in top of ch 4
Row 3
ch 1 and sc into 1st sc, ch 3 and sk a st, * dc in next sc, dc into ch 1, sc into dc, dc into ch 1, dc into next sc, ch 3, sk a st, sc into next, ch 3, sk a st * repeat for row.
To end row: ch 3 and sc into last st of row.
Row 4
ch 4 and sc into the first 5 dc’s, * ch 1, dc into sc, ch 1, sc into the next 5 dc’s * repeat for row.
To end row: after your last set of 5 sc’s, ch 1 and dc into sc.
Row 5
ch 3 and dc into first ch 1, dc into next sc, * ch 3, sk a st, sc, ch 3, sk a st, dc into next sc, dc into ch 1, dc into dc, dc into ch 1, dc in next sc * repeat for row.
To end row: dc in last sc, (which brings you to the ch 4) dc 1 into the next 2 chs.
