For this project you will need:
- HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU
ABBREVIATIONS

ch = Chain
sl st = Slip Stitch
st = Stitch
sk sts = skip sts
YO = Yarn over
sc = Single Crochet
trc = Triple Crochet
half trc cluster = ch 5, YO twice, insert hook into the stitch indicated on row, YO and pull through 2 loops, YO pull through 2 loops, leaving last loop on hook. Repeat 1 more time. 3 loops on hook, YO and pull through all 3 loops.
trc cluster = YO twice, insert your hook into stitch, YO and pull through 2 loops, YO and pull through 2 loops. Leave last loop on hook, repeat 2 more times, 4 loops on hook, YO and pull through all 4 loops.
* = Repeat what is in between the stars for the rest of the row

Multiples of the stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 11 + 2
To Start
Chain in multiples of 11 until you reach desired width then ch 2 and you’re ready to begin.
Row 1
skip 9 chs and TRC into 10th ch, * ch 5 and TRC in same ch, ch 5 and half trc cluster into top of the trc you just did. sk 2 sts, trc cluster, sk 4 sts, trc cluster, ch 5 and half trc cluster into the top of the trc cluster you just did, skip 2 sts, TRC into same ch * Repeat for row.
To END row: (last 3 chains) ch 1, sk 2 sts, TRC in last ch
Row 2
ch 10 and sc into the center / 3rd chain of the ch 5, *ch 7 and trc into the center of the flower, ch 3 and trc again in the center of the flower, ch 7 and sc in middle ch of next ch 5 * repeat for row.
To END row: ch 5 and skip 1 ch and trc in next.
Row 3
ch 10 and half trc in 6th ch from hook, trc cluster using the middle chain of the next ch 5, trc cluster in center ch of next ch 7, ch 5 and half trc cluster in the trc cluster you just made. * Trc , ch 5, trc in center of the ch 3 above the flower, ch 5 and half cluster in trc you just made, work a trc cluster in the next center ch of the ch 7’s. * repeat for row.
To END row: after last flower petal is made, skip 2 chs and trc in next ch.
Row 4
ch 6,* trc cluster, ch 3, trc cluster in center of flower, ch 7, sc in center of ch 5, * repeat for row.
To END row: ch 1, TRC in last ch
Row 5
ch 6 and * trc, ch 5, trc in center of ch 3, trc cluster in the center ch of the ch 7, trc cluster in the center ch of the ch 7, ch 5 and half trc in trc cluster you just made. * repeat for row.
To END row: ch 1 and skip 1 ch and trc in next
Repeat rows 2 – 5
I would recommend doing a border around your piece to make it more flat and square once finished.
