For this project you will need:

HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US

YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

 

ABBREVIATIONS

(click on link to find tutorials)

ch = Chain

sl st = Slip Stitch

st = Stitch

DC = Double Crochet

* = Repeat what’s in between * for rest of round.

The Multiples of the stitch

This stitch is done in multiples of 3

 

To Start

Ch in multiples of 3 until you reach desired width.

 

Row 1

DC 3 in 4th ch from hook, * sk 2 sts, dc 3 into next * repeat for row until you reach last 2 sts. Skip a st and DC into last st. ch 3 and turn.

 
 

Row 2

Skip a st and DC 3 into next (which should be the center DC of the mini shell below ) then *skip 2 sts and DC 3 into next* repeat for row, skip a stitch then DC in last st of row which is the ch 3. CH 3 and turn.

 

Repeat row 2 until you reach desired size.
