Now before we sew on our eyes and make our beak, we want to make the border to the owl
The Border
Using your 3.50 mm \ E hook
Attach the color you wish to use for the border onto the side of his head and sc 2, sc 1 sc 1 until you get to a good spot for the first ear.
To make the ear you need to do 2 foundation single crochets then sl st into the same space.
Sc 2, sc 1 sc 1 until you get to the next goo place for an ear and do 2 sc foundation crochets
now sc 2, sc 1 sc 1 until you get to the end of the head where the body starts and you want to sl st into the st before the body, then the first st of the body, then continue sc 2, sc 1 sc 1 until you get back to the other side of the body where the head and body meet and again do a sl st into the st before the head and sl st into the first st of the head. When you get to where you first attached your yarn, skip the last st and sl st into first st of border.
When done, sew on your eyes.
The Beak
We’ll be embroidering so grab a tapestry needle
To make the beak, grab your desired color and cut about 10 inches.
Tie a knot into one end and thread the other onto your needle. Embroider in a triangle pattern.
You will need to fill in the spaces between, until your happy with the way it looks.
