The Leaflet Crochet Stitch is done in a unique way, one row makes the next in an oval pattern giving this stitch a stacking look. This beautiful mesh crochet stitch would be great to make a top with! I used this stitch in one of my Butterfly shawls too! The Flutterby Effect Butterfly Shawl.

For this project you will need:
- HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
- YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU

sl st = Slip Stitch
st = Stitch
sk = Skip
SC = Single Crochet
Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row
The Multiples of the stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 4 + 1
Row 1
SC in the 2nd Ch from the hook. Ch 5, sk 2 and SC in next st. * SC in the next stitch also, Ch 5, sk 2 and SC in the next. * Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row. You should end perfectly with a SC in the last stitch. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 2
* Put 4 Sc’s on the Ch 5 space. Ch 5 and SC 4 more times in same Ch 5 space. * Repeat what’s in between * for rest of row. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 3 (repeat row until you reach your desired size.)
We’ll be using our ch 5 spaces from our last row. SC 4, Ch 5, SC 4 in all Ch 5 spaces. Ch 3 and turn.
