This stitch is done in multiples of 4 + 1
NOTE: If your ends are not looking right then try doing a ch 2 instead of ch 3 at the beginning.
Row 1
DC in 6th ch from hook, ch 2 and DC into same st.
* Sk 3 sts and DC, ch 2, DC (V Stitch) in next st. * Repeat for row. At the end of your row you should have 3 chs left, DC in last CH. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 2
FPDC on the first DC of your V stitch, then * DC 3 onto ch 3, ch 1 and DC 3 more into the same ch 2 space. Now we’re going to do our FPDC decreases using the next DC of your V stitch and the first DC of our following V Stitch.
So YO and insert your hook into the next V stitch and only pull through 2 loops leaving the last one on your hook. Then grab up the post first next DC of the following V stitch and pull through only 2 loops. YO and pull through the remaining 3 loops on your hook * repeat for row. To end your row, FPDC on your final DC then DC in the 2nd ch from the top of your beginning ch. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 3
We’ll be working in our ch 1 spaces that we created between our 2 groups of DC’s from row 2.
V stitch (DC, ch 2, DC) into the first ch 1 space. Then crochet a V stitch in all ch 1 spaces down your row. To end your row, DC in the top of your ending ch 3. ch 3 and turn.
Row 4 (repeat for row 2)
FPDC onto the first post of your V stitch. * DC 3 onto ch 3, ch 1 and DC 3 more into the same ch 2 space. FPDC dec using the next DC of your V stitch, continue by FPDC dec using the first DC of the next V stitch, then pull through all 3 loops as before. * repeat for row. To end your row, FPDC on your final DC then DC in the 2nd ch from the top of your beginning ch. Ch 3 and turn.
Repeat Rows 3 & 4 until you’ve reached desired size.
